Creda Mae (Hamilton) Hornberger, 81, of Cowansville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at home. She was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Bradys Bend, to the late Blair and Bertha M. (Crawford) Hamilton.

She retired after 21½ years from the Butler County Mushroom Mines. She also worked for Agway in East Butler, Montgomery Ward in Kittanning, and Hiland Dry Cleaners. Creda was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Bradys Bend.

She spent winters in Florida, for 18 years. She liked bingo, playing cards, spending time with her family. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

She also loved her rocking chair. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Glenn Hornberger; son, Dennis (Cheryl) Hornberger, of Natrona Heights; daughters, Dianne (Tom) Hollobaugh, of Butler, Darla (Jim) Curran, of Chicora, Glenda (Mike) Kaufman, of East Brady; son, Michael (Marcie) Hornberger, of Cowansville; daughter, Michelle (Dan) Kiser, of Queenstown; granddaughter, Shannon McGuire, of Natrona Heights; grandsons, Todd (Sara) Hollobaugh, of Erie, Chad (Taylor) Hollobaugh, of Kittanning, Ben (Sarah) Curran, of Butler, Seth (Ashley) Curran, also of Butler, Noah Curran, of Chicora; granddaughter, Nikki (Manu) Brown, of East Pittsburgh; grandsons, Sean Kaufman of East Brady and Josh (Elyse) Kaufman, also of East Brady; granddaughter, Alyssa (Curt) Hornberger, of Freeport; grandsons, Michael (Ashlyn) Hornberger, of Chicora and Christopher Hornberger, of Cowansville; granddaughter, Danielle (Mike) McCarthy, of Baden; and grandson, Scott Kiser, of Queenstown; and great-grandchildren, Ian, Tyler, Aubrey, Avery, Jameson, Finnegan, Emmett, Blake, Brinleigh, Malik, Ayonna, Owen, Luke, Paige, Ayden, and Dominic; and great-great-granddaughter, Ava Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry “Hub” Hamilton, Reuben Hamilton, Tom Hamilton, Bob Hamilton, and Sam Hamilton; and sisters, Ethel Early, Marcella Eddinger, Doris Dee, Susie Hamilton, Louise Seybert, and Rachel Bowser.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Reformed Church in Bradys Bend, with Pastor Peter Sapp officiating. Interment will be in the Sherrett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Reformed Church of Bradys Bend, 887 State Route 68 East Brady, Pa.
