Curtis Allen Vance, 54, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at home. Curtis was born May 21, 1964 in Spruce Pine, NC to Charles Eugene Vance, Sr. and Deanna Jean Lofty. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles Eugene Vance, Jr

He worked at Harris Teeter as a produce manger, and was a member of Calvary Foursquare Church in Concord, NC where he was an usher. He was involved in the sport of wrestling. He competed in high school, winning a state championship 3 times, and was a referee in recent years.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Rev. Richard Wilson and Rev.

Al Branscum. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park-Kannapolis. Survivors include wife, Janet Marie Vance of the home; son, Allen Wayne Vance and daughter-in-law Stephanie Williams and their daughter Piper Vance of the home; daughter, Meagan Lynne Babb, husband Carlos, and their son Ethan of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Ashley Vance and Melissa Smith of Concord, NC.
