Obituary for Curtis L Lush Mr. Curtis L. Lush, 69 of Seymour passed away Friday September 28, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. Curtis was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on July 28, 1949 the son of the late Hillard and Effie (Clemons) Lush. Curtis was a member of the Church of God in Scottsburg.

He was a great family man, who believed in providing for his family. He was a hard worker, who retired from Rose Acres Farms after many years of service, where he worked in the chicken houses with maintenances and various other jobs. He never missed a day at work.

He was very proud of his family, loved his rose bushes, watching westerns. He was a very loving but simple man that enjoyed vacationing in the Smokey Mountains, doing yard work, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. On November 26, 1969, he married his best friend for life Bessie Meadors in Austin, Indiana.

Curtis leaves behind his wife of 48 years Bessie, children, Travis Lush, Terry Lush, Trenton Lush, Trina (Felipe) Marin, Tim (Amanda) Lush, Jessica Lush, Amber (Dale) Lester and Bailey Lush, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and one due in November, sisters Maxine Gilbert, Lorine (Evean) Jent and Sue (Delmer) Combs, and his special friend his dog Cooper. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leonard Lush, Cleave Lush and Harry Lush, daughter in law Peggy Lush. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 2nd, from 4 to 8 pm and at The Church of God in Scottsburg (940 S. Main Street) on Wednesday after 11 am until time of service.

Funeral service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday at The Church of God in Scottsburg at 12 noon with Rev. John Kreinbring, officiating. Burial will follow at Hayden Cemetery, in Hayden, Indiana.
