Obituary for Raymond Robert Spicer Mr. Raymond Robert Spicer, 77, of Commiskey, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Lutheran Community Home. He was born in Seymour on March 2, 1941 to the late Opal (Malone) Hayes. Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 17 at 11 am with Revs.

Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4-8 pm and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 am until time of service.

On September 5, 1970, he married Luella Von Dielingen; she survives. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

After retiring from Cummins, he enjoyed gardening and working on anything and everything. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Luella “Lu” Spicer; children; Scott (Yvonne Lucas) Spicer and Matt (Amy) Spicer; grandchildren, Emma Spicer, Cody Spicer, Dustin (Jordan) Nowaskie, Brooke (Eugene) Vivelo and Austin Stanton; brother, Dale Hayes; and sisters, Dorcas George and Carol Martin. He is preceded in death by his mother.
