Delores Arline (Jones) Wheeler, age 86, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Born November 3, 1932 in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Aden Sr. and Vera (Weaver) Jones. She married Jerry L. Wheeler on January 18, 1952.

Delores was a 1950 graduate from Shields High School. She had worked for the phone company and retired from Verizon. She was a member of the Nazarene Church since 1950 where she served as Sunday school treasurer for 40 years.

… Read More » Delores was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking and reading. She was a good mother and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Wheeler of Seymour; her children, Jerri (Curt) Burbrink of Columbus, Royd (Lisa) Wheeler, Robin (Cathy) Wheeler and Roger (Karol) Wheeler all of Seymour; her grandchildren, Justin (Laura) Burbrink, Joel (Rebecca) Burbrink, Amanda (Ryan) Montgomery, Mahala (Michael) Maxie, Ryan Wheeler, Christopher (Stephen) Wheeler and Alexander Wheeler; her granddaughter in law Casey Wheeler; Eleven great-grandchildren, Beau, Brayden, Brooklyn, Brock, Kingen and Ava Burbrink, Addison Walker, Macy and Daxton Montgomery, Alaina Maxie and Mya Wheeler; her siblings, Ferrell “Buck” (Betty) Jones, Millicent “Midge” Fields, Aden Jr. “Junior” (Rita) Jones, Dwight (Judy) Jones, Sharon (David) Arthur, Cheryl Fields, Garnet “Ed” (Kathy) Jones and Howard (Beth) Jones; Sister in law, Virginia Jones and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rex D. Wheeler; her grandsons, Rex A. Wheeler and Jerad Burbrink; three brothers, Harold “Tom” Jones, David and Vernon Jones; her brother in laws, Frank Fields and Delbert Fields. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at The Point with Steve Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at The Point and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of service at the church. Family request memorials are given to The Point or to Schneck Hospice. Friends and family can send online condolences and share memories at www.
