Mr. Columbus William “C.W.” Osteen, age 94, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Cornersville, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Adams Place Rehabilitation Center in Murfreesboro. Mr. Osteen was a native of Bedford County, was the son of the late Rufus and Gladys Scott Osteen. He was retired from Lewisburg Machine Works as a tool and die maker.

He was a member of the Cornersville Church of Christ where he served as an elder and deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise Walker Osteen, and one son, Ronald Osteen. He is survived by one son, Jerry (Nancy) Osteen of Murfreesboro, daughter-in-law, Amy Osteen of Fayetteville, and five grandchildren, Thomas (Hannah) Osteen of Lewisburg, John (Anna) Osteen and Susan (Josh) Edwards of Fayetteville, and Natalie and Allison Osteen of Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Cornersville Funeral Home with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and will continue on Sunday from 1:00 until the funeral hour. Cornersville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
