Cynthia Ann Arbour, age 62, left this world to be with the Lord on September 10, 2018 after a courageous battle with multiple health issues. She was born September 6, 1956, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Emil and Cecilia (Guertin) Arbour and grew up in Walled Lake, MI. She graduated from Atlanta High School in Atlanta, MI and then attended Delta College and Alpena Community College.

Cynthia was a friendly and industrious person who liked to tinker and solve problems. She always had time to lend a hand and engage in conversation.

She was a kind soul who remained benevolent throughout her life toward humankind and animals alike. She especially loved the many cats that she has sheltered through the years. She took great pleasure in being a grandmother to her two granddaughters.

Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son Charles and daughter-in-law Liz (Allen), her granddaughters Morgan and Zoey, one sister Linda (William) Caprathe, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her seven brothers: Ralph (Patricia) Arbour of Hartland, MI, William (Betty) Arbour of Atlanta, MI, Kent Arbour of Atlanta, MI, Gerald (Betty) Arbour of Atlanta, MI, Victor (Sheila) Arbour of Highland, MI, Phillip (Patty) Arbour of Perry, MI, and Peter (Mary Katherine) Arbour of Wichita, KS, as well as her sister Elsie Arbour of Atlanta, MI.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with the Vigil for the deceased at 7:00 pm in the W.A. Trahan Funeral Chapel, 256 N. Madison Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Church of St. Boniface, 510 N. Lincoln Street, Bay City, MI 48708. Cynthia will lie in state at St. Boniface on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass.
