Pageland, SC Mr. D. Ray Terry, age 81, entered into rest on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Tim Williams.

The family will greet friends Wednesday from 4:30 – 6:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Terry was born January 7, 1938 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Dave and Mettie Johnson Terry. He was a retired employee of Conbraco Industries with 27 years of service and managed Atkinson Properties for over 40 years.

Ray was also an electrician and plumber and was known as a “Jack of all Trades”. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mr. Terry enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and spending time with his beloved dog, “Izzy”. In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin and Ralph Terry; and sister, Vernese Kirkley.

Survivors include his children, Lisa (Donnie) Purser of Lancaster, SC, Jamie (Cassie) Terry of Patrick, SC, and Nelson Terry of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Samual, Danual, and Nathaniel Purser, and Cash Terry; sister, Iris (B.C.) Plyler of Pageland, SC; brother of the heart, Buddy McCarley; also numerous nieces nephews. Memorials may be made to the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter, 467 Goodale Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709 Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www. mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Terry family.
