Obituary for Dale Coonce Dale Coonce, 72, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. He was born on December 4, 1945 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Orban and Ollie Coonce. Dale was retired from Wix Filtration after working there for 44 years.

He also served his country in the United States Air Force. Preceding him in death were three brothers, Bert Coonce, Arnum Coonce, and Dwight Coonce; two sisters, Grace Davis and Frances Dunlap; brother-in-law, Deloe Rigg; and nephew, Dwight Coonce, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Janet of 47 years; son, Tony Coonce of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Tonda Coonce (Celena) of Lake View, South Carolina; sister, Kay Rigg of Oxford, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM CST at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

Following the service, the family extends an invitation to join them for a time of fellowship at the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center, located at 1705 12th Street in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
