Dale Gene Brown July 03, 1963 – March 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Dale Gene Brown, age 55, lifelong resident of Wellington, passed away March 9, 2019 at his home. He worked as an assembly mechanic for Spirit Aerosystems. Dale was born on July 3, 1963 in Wellington, KS to Earl L. Brown and Fern Earlene (McMillan) Brown.

He graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1982. Dale married Margaret “Margie” Perez on October 30, 1999 in Wellington, KS. He was preceded in death by two aunts, Sandy Brashear and Merle Patterson and one great nephew, Brock Jeffries.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Brown of Wellington; children, Richard Vargas, Jr. of Wellington, Michael Vargas and his wife Jackie of Wellington, John Vargas of Olathe, KS, and Susana Rose Vargas of Olathe, KS; parents, Earl and Earlene Brown of Wellington; brothers, Wayne Brown of Wellington and Rick Brown and his wife Debic of Wellington; sisters, Linda Vaughan and her husband Scott of Wellington and Connie Ozbun of Winfield, KS; grandchildren, Trey and Taven Vargas of Overland Park, KS, Olivia and Summer Vargas of Olathe, KS, Megan Conrad and Nathan Allton of Wellington; great grandchildren, Jace and Jarek Conrad of Wellington; aunts and uncles, Lee and Elaine Riggs of Wellington, Betty and J. E. Mraz of Wellington, and Darlene and James Woods of Wellington; sisters-in-law, Jenny Robinson, Patti Childress, Mary Reyes, Toni Camero, Carolyn Vargas and her husband Paul, Linda Caudillo and her husband Chris, Bo Seyfert and her husband Lonnie; brothers-in-law, Al Perez and his wife Nellie, Domingo Perez, Jr. and his wife Kay, Jessie Lira and his wife Lola; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the First Free Will Baptist Church on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
