She ended her two-year battle against breast cancer peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Daman was born in Kamal, Haryana, India on April 2, 1953 to her parents Ajit Singh Sehgal and Raj Sehgal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vijay Sachdeva. She is survived by her son, Sandeep; her daughter, Suvidha; her daughter-in-law, Angela; her son-in-law, Nitin; her grandson; Neil; and her granddaughter, Alisha. She will be missed for her selfless caring and giving nature for her family and friends.

Her strength, melodious voice, and sweet smile was balanced by her strong will power. The funeral will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:30 am at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
