Daniel Earl Hoobler passed away on December 13, 2018 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on November 21, 1942 in Toledo, OH, to the late Daniel Burdette Hoobler and Harriett Abbott Hoobler. Dan retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and was a member of Fraternal Order of Police.

He also was a licensed security officer and a member of Orange Park United Methodist Church. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Harriett Hoobler. Dan is survived by his daughters, Dana Hoobler Wilson and Megan Hoobler; grandsons, Cade and Chance Wilson; sisters, Marjorie Hoobler Heddings and Carolyn Bosworth; nephews, Daniel Shultz, James Bosworth, and Ryan Pires; niece, Kimberly Mann; cousin, Rob Hoobler; and friends, Ken and Kim Vargas.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233 is serving the family.
