Daniel Glenn Viles, 71, of Vernon, passed away at 3:42 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born November 17, 1946, in Jennings County, he was the son of Glenn Albert and Florence Katherine Armand Viles. Mr. Viles was a semi-truck driver who enjoyed going to Madison to the river, driving around, fishing and citizens band radio.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Lee Viles of Mississippi; sisters, Sharon Rehrer of North Vernon, Sheila Staley of Columbus, and Shirley Whicker of Columbus; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Keith Viles; and sister, Joan Steward. In keeping with his and his family’s wishes cremations is planned.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
