Daniel T. Mahoney, age 74, of North Tonawanda, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst, after a long illness. Born June 4, 1944 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Donald and Evelyn (nee Forsaith) Mahoney. Dan was a Navy Veteran, serving for 11 years, and was a Firefighter in the North Tonawanda Fire Department before retiring.

He was a member of the North Tonawanda Volunteer Benevolent Association. He was the husband of Diane (nee Marquette) Mahoney; father of Daniel (Ruth Smolinski) Mahoney, Jr. of North Tonawanda, Dennis (Kate) Mahoney of North Tonawanda, Dawn (Mark) Crage of Wheatfield, and DeAnn (David) Venditti of Niagara Falls; grandfather of Ashley, Jessica, Michael, DavidLee, Danielle, and Josh; brother-in-law of June Rizzo of Florida and Roger Marquette of North Tonawanda; and brother of the late Donna (late Terence) Molloy and the late Denise (Thomas) Kralik. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

There is no visitation. Services will be cared for privately. If desired, memorials for Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangictasia Research, curehht.org/, or to Cure HHT, PO Box 329, Monkton, MD 21111, are preferred by the family.
