Cobleskill—Daniel T. Seip, Jr., 79, of Woodland Drive, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Albany Medical Center. Dan was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Trinidad) Seip. His memory will be cherished by his four children: Daniel T. (Kathryn) Seip, III of DeWitt, MI; Deirdre (Steven) Dibble of Summit; Dawn (Timothy) Dinovo of Scottsdale, AZ; and Charles (Ashley) Seip of Williamstown, VT; as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born February 13, 1939, in East Meadow, he was the son of Daniel T. and Lenora (Gradowski) Seip, Sr. Dan was a United States Navy veteran, proudly serving his country from 1958 until 1963 when he was honorably discharged. Dan retired from Albany Medical Center where he was Fire Marshall. He and Doris relocated to Florida in 2001 where they enjoyed an active retirement.

After Doris passed in 2015 Dan moved back to this area to be near his family. He was an avid numismatist and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion for rare coins with everyone. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Rev.

Dr. Ellen Neufeld of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leatherstocking Honor Flight, PO Box 621, Cobleskill, NY 12043 or the Fisher House, 113 Holland Ave.
