Daniel Walter Ramsey Jr., 74 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Rolling Hills Healthcare in New Albany, IN. Daniel was born on February 28, 1944 in Louisville, KY the son of Daniel Walter and Georgia Etta Harris Ramsey. He was a painter by trade, served in the United States Army and was a member of the Charlestown American Legion Post #335.

Survivors include his daughters, Jo Ann Pierce and her husband Terry of Charlestown, Lee Etta Mueller of Muncie, IN and Michelle Brown and her husband Jason of Ft. Wayne, IN; son Steven Ramsey and his wife Holly of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Allen Ramsey of Mooresville, IN and Terry Ramsey of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Cheryl Veach of Jeffersonville, IN and Denise Roberts and her husband Charlie of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Savannah Horine, Sidney Smith, Patrick Mueller, Alessandra Mueller, Shelby Ramsey, Andrew Ramsey, Brianna Ramsey and Jack Brown; five great-grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Kleopfer and his step-father, Bryant Veach and a great grandson Kai Overfield.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of service.
