Danny “Red” Edward Sayre, 53, of Mt. Sterling died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.

He was born May 14, 1964 in Mt. Sterling. Danny was a Mt.

Sterling native and of the Christian faith. He loved riding motorcycles and was an aspiring member of the “Free Riders” motorcycle club. Danny enjoyed; Nascar, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was a kind person who never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include; his mother Priscilla Jones Nornhold of Mt.

Sterling; one son, Dustin Lee Sayre (Amber) of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Elsworth Ray Sayre Sr. (Dee), Gene Herald Nornhold Jr. (Becky) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Claudetta of Mt.

Sterling and Rita Roberts (Timmy) of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Anthony Gene Owen Sayre and Janalynn Marie Sayre both of Mt. Sterling; one nephew, Ray Sayre Jr. of Clearwater FL and a special friend, Lisa Brady of Winchester. He was preceded in death by his dad Gene Herald Nornhold Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations towards the Danny Sayre burial fund; Dustin Sayre, 210 Brooks Avenue, Mt.

Sterling, Kentucky 40353. Funeral will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00AM. Visitation will be prior from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the Queen Street Christian Fellowship.

Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jerry Byrd, Derrick Lykins, Wayne Lykins, Jeff Alfrey, Hershell Lawson and Lonnie Donathan. Honorary Pallbearers: Doug Willoughby and J.D. Snowden.
