Dan Waddell, 57, of Burlington, died at 6:59 pm Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Born October 28, 1961, in Burlington, IA, he was married to Char (Mettes) Waddell in 1988 for 15 years. A mechanic and transmission specialist by trade at D & R Auto Repair.

He enjoyed racing, grilling, and shooting pool. Survivors include his parents Jim and Kathie Waddell and Darlene Lucas, sister and brother-in-law John and Cathy Plouzek, daughter Stephanie Waddell and her partner Mike Wesselink, significant other Kathy House, and ex-wife Char. Preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents and brother Tim Waddell.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. The memorial visitation for Mr. Waddell will be from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2019, at The Burlington Gym.
