Darlene Ann (Mathieu) Ream went to be with the Lord after an extended illness. She was born on January 7, 1940 in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Harry and Floris (Stehley) Mathieu. She is survived by her husband Dale who affectionately named her “Lovey”.

They were married on December 1, 1990 at Bethel Presbyterian Church. She is also survived by a son, Daniel and wife Sandy, Greensboro, N.C.; four daughters Kathy Allender and her former husband Chris Bonatch, Karen Allmendinger and husband Kirt, Kristine Marshall and husband Timothy, Kimberly Aikins and husband Rodney, one step-son Michael Ream and wife Linda; thirteen grandchildren; Kristin Nicole Bonatch and former husband Matthew Borbonus, and friend Wesley Bittinger, Bryan Mathieu Bonatch and former wife Natasha, Brittany Allmendinger and husband Seth Marshall, Marissa Allmendinger, Cameron Allmendinger, Kaitlyn Marshall and husband Jesse Wallace, Cody Marshall and very special friend Brittany Pearce, Lacey Aikins and fiance Kyle Wagner, Alex Aikins and wife Leann, Audrey Aikins, Daniel Aikins, Ryan Ream and Tyler Ream; five great-grandchildren Brylea Nicole Borbonus, Hunter Mathieu Bonatch, Aubrianna Victoria Bittinger and Kyleigh Ann Bittinger, her namesake and Allie Grace Aikins. She is survived by one sister Janet Feathers, Entrinken, PA and brother Harry William and wife Antionette, Williamsburg, PA.

Also is surviving is the father of her children Edgar N. Allender, Indiana, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Shirley and a step-son Richard Dale Ream. At the request of Mrs. Ream all services will be private at Lefdahl Funeral Home with Pastor Micah McMillen.

Interment will be in the Royer Cemetery, Williamsburg, PA at the foot of Royer Mountain overlooking the beautiful Piney Creek Valley. Memorial may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9929 or Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741 My Lovey, You went first and I remain to walk the road alone. I’ll live in memories garden, dear, with happy days we’ve known.

In spring I’ll wait for roses red, when fade the lilacs blue. In early fall when brown leaves fall, I’ll catch a glimpse of you. You went first and I remain, one thing I’ll have to do.
