Larry V. White, 74, Indiana, passed peacefully Thursday, September 6, 2018 at his residence. The son of Richard and Maggie (Owens) White, he was born January 24, 1944 in Wyandotte, MI. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a combat medic.

He was a former member of the Indiana Lions Club. In Larry’s younger years he enjoyed camping and fishing at the family cabin on Black Lake, MI. Larry spent 27 years at The Aging Services of Indiana where he was a maintenance supervisor.

He retired in 2012 and enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Slippery Rock, PA and visiting with his grandchildren. Larry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Donna (Renz) White, Indiana; sons, Command Sgt.

Maj. Larry L. (Felicia) White, Fountain, CO and SSG (Ret. ) William R. (Carrie) White, Indiana; grandchildren, Lawson White, Fountain, CO, Payton and Trenton White, Indiana; sister, JoAnn Shirley, Black Lake, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, PFC Jordan White; infant brother, Gerald D. White; brother, Jerry White; and sisters, Julia, Mimi Jean, and Donna. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Indiana Visiting Nurses Association for their loving, professional care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the VNA.

The family also would like everyone to consider becoming organ donors. Funeral arrangements will be private and under the arrangement of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
