OBITUARY Darlene Taylor July 4, 1942 – October 11, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Diana Darlene Taylor, 76 years of age, passed away October 11, 2018 in Irving, Texas. Darlene was born on July 4, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Woodrow Box and Florence Couger. Darlene was a beautiful woman who married her high school sweetheart, Carl, in 1958 and had 3 children.

She loved to suntan by the pool, go boating and play cards at the gold club with her friends. In 1981, Darlene cheated death for the first of many times. She was involved in severe car accident with a long recovery time.

Her feisty nature kept her going, and being born on July 4 gave her a firecracker spirit. Darlene was the rock of her family. She enjoyed life and lived to the fullest.

A jack of all trades, she worked with her husband in construction businesses as well as owned her own booth were she sold aloe vera products. She loved her fur baby Sugar, a Yorkie and was always dressed to the nines with accessories, hair and make-up done. She called it being “Taylorized”.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Florence Box. Darlene is survived by her husband, Carl Taylor; children, Jeff Taylor, Angela Kinney and her husband, Bobby, Tim Taylor and his Fiancé, Cheryl: grandchildren, Lauren Hughes and her husband, Dennis and Briana S. Taylor; great grandchildren: Ransom Hughes, Kaden Fimbres, Kennedi Hughes; brothers: Dan Couger and Mark Couger and his wife Gail.
