David Charles Sandmann, 65, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 after an eighteen month battle with cancer. David was born on January 13, 1953 in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Virgil and Ramona (Kiekhoefer) Sandmann. David grew up in Little Canada and Roseville, Minnesota graduating from Kellog High School in 1971.

During that time David was active in the Taylors Falls Chamber of Commerce helping drive the Wannigan Days float. In 2010 David started work for Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity bringing the Habitat for Humanity ReStore to life, he was the manager there until he retired in June 2016. David’s hobbies were his horses.

He also enjoyed fishing and most anything that he could do with his family. David is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Peter (Chelsea) Sandmann and Paula (Travis) Barton; his grandchildren, Callen and Aiden Sandmann and Tori and Ryan Barton parents, Virgil and Mona Sandmann; his brothers, Mike (Susana) Sandmann, Dale (Teresa) Sandmann, Mark (Peggy) Sandmann; his bother-in law, Bill (Deb) Cawley;; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
