David’s Obituary David “Cowboy” Culver 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Jay, OK with his family by his bedside. He was born on April 19, 1941 in Jay, OK to his parents, Troy Culver and Bonnie Beatrice Cunningham- Culver. Cowboy attended Jay High School to the 9th grade.

He enjoyed playing bingo and helping where he was needed. Cowboy loved being with his family and friends. He worked as a Laborer most of his life and was a Professional Tree Trimmer.

Cowboy was a member of a CB Club from 1977-1980 and a member of Hillside Baptist Church of Eucha, OK. Cowboy is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Bonnie Culver; 2 sons, Chris Foreman and Lynn Foreman; 4 sisters, Nore Reed, Barbara Bennett, Annamay Jones, and Wynona Bowles; his brother, Isaac Culver. He is survived his children, Tara Culver of Eucha, OK, Vickie Gayer and husband Bryan of Fayetteville, AR, Tammy Vanderpool and husband Jamie of Tiff City, MO, Jo King and her significant other, Justin Kosier of Jay, OK, Lenora Luper and her significant other, Ricky Straube of St. Peters, MO, Darryl Chunestudy of Jay, OK, Bobby Culver and wife LaDawna of Eucha, OK, Anthony Burton and wife Betsy of Colcord, OK, Edward Wolf and significant other, Joyce York of Jay, OK and Eugene Wolf of Jay, OK; 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Wadlow of Jay, OK and his special nephew that was like his own son, William Bennett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Cowboy’s family visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. David’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 11:00am, May 31, 2019 at Lawson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Tallé officiating. Interment will be held at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, OK.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
