David F. Pozzi, 73, of Lakeland, passed away peacefully Friday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse to the late Frank and Helen (Artin) Pozzi in 1945. Dave was a graduate of Solvay High School and served as a mechanic in the US Army’s 3rd Armored Division Spearheads.

He was a partner and co-owner of Geddes Unit Parts of Solvay for nearly 30 years. He was predeceased by his son David in 2011. David is survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Colleen Ryan, 2 daughters; Andrea (Charlie) Mattes, of Cicero and Danielle Pozzi, of Liverpool, 2 sons; Curt (Celeste) Pozzi, of Lakeland and Jason Pozzi, of Lakeland, sister; Paula White, of Lakeland, 6 grandchildren; Bradley, Marissa, Antonio, Francesca, Carlie and Chloe, 2 nephews and many cousins.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue. Private entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208 or Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St, Liverpool, NY 13088.
