Louise A. Phillips of Fairmount passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 26th surrounded by her loving family. Louise was a devout Catholic and a communicant of Holy Family Church. She retired from Solvay Bank in 1995.

As a young woman, and in retirement she loved to travel, making several trips to Europe; the most notable in 1953 when she spent six months touring Europe with her beloved cousin Mary Franchini. Louise had a kind word for everyone and gave compliments freely, she had an amazing way of making people feel special. Most of all Louise was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

Louise was predeceased by her husband Bernard in 1976 and brother Edward in 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Harry) Armani, of Elbridge; son, John Scott, of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren, Kimberly and Kelsey Armani, Todd, Kyle and Lauren Phillips; brother, Gerald Armani, of North Hampton, New Hampshire; cousins, Miriam Franchini, of Ft. Worth, TX and Eugene, Tracy and Emma Franchini, of Elbridge; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, March 30th from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave. , Solvay. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse.

Louise will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles; burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter, 441 Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204 or Hospice of Central New York, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
