Diega “Diggy” (Greco) Alia, 99, of Lakeland, passed away Sunday at Loretto. She was born in Syracuse to the late Guiseppe and Rose (Augello) Greco in 1919. She was an assembler at Pass and Seymour for over 15 years before retiring.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church. Diggy was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo “James” in 1992 and her 6 siblings, Patrina, James, Virginia, Angelo, Mary and Josephine. She is survived by her daughters; Marie Rose (Stephen) Kelsey, of TX and Kathleen (Timothy) Kurtz, of Pennellville, son; Gary (Kim) Alia, of MA, 6 grandchildren; Timothy (Liz), Diane, David, Nancy (Dave), Vincent and Ashley (Mike), 7 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, her sister; Rose Marie Cardoso, of Solvay and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 8:45 am Thursday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
