Sherwood, 73, of Nedrow, NY, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, after a brief, but brave, battle with liver disease. Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Keith R. Sherwood. Three sons, Curt (Mayumi) of Honolulu, Eric (Tracy) of Syracuse, Mark (Holly) of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Diane was the best Nana in the world to her 10 wonderful grandchildren: Gabrielle (17), Rachel (15), Ryan (13), Nolan (8), Abram (6), Evelyn (5), Emmett (4), Phillip (4), Lena (2) and Kaylee Loveall-Witten (7). Diane’s greatest joy in life was serving others. Her faith in God was unparalleled and her ability to love was infinite.

She was a selfless woman who dedicated her to her friends, family (including several foster children) and her Creator. She enjoyed many things in life, particularly working in her gardens, traveling, playing cards, Sunday brunch and her bible study groups. Diane was involved in many Christina Ministries including Marriage Encounter and Meals on Wheels.

She is a former member of Onondaga Hill United Methodist Church where she served on the Pastor-Parrish Relations and Missions Committees and was also the general secretary. She was also an active member at Christ the King Baptist Church. Please join us as we say our final goodbyes on Monday, May 20 from 4-7 pm and then the funeral services on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 am.

Both gatherings will be held at Butler-Badman Funeral Home, 4504 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Diane’s honor to Christ is King Baptist Church, 6142 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205.
