Obituary for David G. Pearson David Gene Pearson, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, November 12, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born December 22, 1934, in Whitney, SC, he was the son of the late Eura A. “EA” Pearson and Lennie Harris Pearson and husband of the late Helen Ruth Ray Pearson. A NASCAR Hall of Fame race car driver, David was also a Mason, Shriner, and member of Whitney Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Pearson (Cathy), Ricky Pearson (Ann), and Eddie Pearson, all of Boiling Springs, SC; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his canine buddy, Wolfie. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Bill Pearson; and sister, Josephine Brown. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
