Obituary for Madge Huskey Moore Madge Huskey Moore, 93, formerly of Cowpens, SC, died Monday, November 5, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Duncan, SC. Born March 21, 1925, in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. and Pearl Coyle Huskey and widow of Edward Clayton “EC” Moore. A graduate of Gaffney High School and Winthrop College, Mrs. Moore was a former teacher with Spartanburg County District Three.

She was a member of Cowpens First Baptist Church, the church choir, and served as a Sunday School teacher. Very active in her community, she was also a member of The Town and Country Garden Club of Cowpens. Surviving are her children, Clayton Moore of Santa Monica, CA, Guy Moore of Cowpens, SC, and Paula Moore Jackson (Jeff) of Duncan, SC; granddaughter, Amy Stafford; great-grandchildren, Emily Vaughn, Joseph Stafford, and Caleb Moore; great-great-granddaughter, Payton Stafford; sister and brothers, Jennie Carpenter of Arden, NC, Bobby Huskey of McQueeney, TX, and Theron Huskey of North Augusta, SC.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Deanne Harrington, Greta Parker, James Huskey, Lewis Huskey, and Eckles Huskey. A cryptside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330. Visitation will follow the service at the cryptside.
