DAVID HAROLD “YANK” RITCHIE, age 68 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Saskatoon, British Columbia Canada on March 24, 1950; the son of the late Harold Ritchie and the late Ferne Hicks Ritchie. He was a heavy equipment operator.

He was employed with Saiia Construction Company in Birmingham for 24 years. He was loved by many friends and family. He is survived by: Wife, Linda Ritchie of Clanton; Son, Robert (Staci) Renfroe of Columbus, MS; Son, Richard (Frances) Renfroe of Shreveport, LA; Son, David Lance Ritchie of Clovis, NM; Son, Michael Lewis of Canada; Daughter, JoAnne AlaLew of Canada; and Granddaughters: Madison Renfroe, Ashlynn Renfroe, Scarlett Renfroe, and Emma Renfroe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jason Green officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ramah Cemetery in Lenox, AL. Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL. www.
