ROBERT DOUGLAS WELDON, age 68 of Clanton, passed away on July 29, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Chilton County on November 19, 1949;the son of the late Robert Rosco Weldon and the late Cathy Allee Robinson Weldon. He was a former sanitation employee for the city of Clanton for many years.

He is survived by: Daughter, Nancy Waldrop of Clanton; Grandchildren: Ashley Waldrop of McCalla, Victoria Waldrop of Clanton, and Amber Price of Junction AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00am from Clanton First Assembly of God with Rev. Randy Reid officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Providence Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
