DAVID EARL HANEY, age 62 of Center Point, AL, passed away on June 9, 2018 at North Hill Nursing Home in Fultondale, AL. He was born in Talladega County on August 16, 1955. He was a former restaurant chef.

He worked many years at O’Charleys, then at Bombay, and most recently at Shoal Creek Country Club. He is survived by: Son, Jacob (Angel) Haney of Montevallo; Son, Jonathan David Haney off Pinson; Son, Kaylon Austin Haney of Pinson; Grandchildren: Kadarius Haney, Quendarius Haney, Jadda Haney, and Myiesha Haney; Mother, Dott Moore of Birmingham; Brother, Randy (Misty) Moore of Nectar; Sister, Teresa (Mike) Evans of Pinson; Brother, Howard Haney of Birmingham; Brother, Freddie Haney of Ashville; Brother, Robert Haney of Ashville; Brother, Morris Haney of Blountsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by: Father, Terry Moore; and Brother, Ken Haney.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Mark Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby, AL. The family request in lieu of flowers, please contribute towards the funeral expenses at the funeral home. Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.
