David A. Hontz, Jr., 65, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, March 10th, at Landsale Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 24, 1953, he was a son of the late David Hontz, Sr. and Jean Savage. After graduating high school, David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He then later worked as an EMT for over 35 years for several local private ambulance companies. David was a huge Mickey Mouse and Star Trek Fan. He enjoyed going camping and spending time with his two granddaughters, who meant the world to him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years, Donna (Rembish) Hontz; daughters, Diana Wolfe and husband, Chris, Wilkes-Barre, Aimee Rodrigues and husband, Ivor, Suwanee, GA and Erica Smith and husband, Mark, Plymouth Twp; grandchildren, Kaylie Hontz and Charlotte Rodrigues; brothers, William Hontz and wife, Mina, Pittston, Keith Hontz and wife, Kathleen, Forty Fort, Edward Hontz and wife, Heather, Dallas and Robert Hontz and wife, Carol Lynn, Lithia Springs, GA; sister, Barbara Moss and husband, Ken, Moscow and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be Reverend Carol Coleman.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wilkes-Barre Free Clinic, 35 South Franklin St. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. Condolences may be sent to www.
