Obituary for DAVID JOSEPH JUNAK David Joseph Junak, 77, of Ridge St., Ishpeming, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, November 18, 2018 at UP Health System in Marquette with his loving family by his side. Dave was born July 18, 1941 in Ishpeming to John and Mildred (Larmour) Junak, graduated from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1959, and was a lifelong Ishpeming resident. After a short career driving truck when he was young, he worked for Semco Energy for 37 years, retiring in 2002.

Dave was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee. He enjoyed hunting with his boys, shooting and being in the woods, but he most loved spending time with his family. Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Diana (Giotto) Junak; two sons: David (Carol) Junak of Peshtigo, WI and Joseph (Susan) Junak of Fort Gratiot, MI; four grandchildren: Katelyn and David Junak of Green Bay, Sara (Josh) Jeffries of Grand Rapids and Rachael Fluery of Tucson, AZ; two great-grandchildren: Madisen and Jacksen Fluery; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John (Pat) Junak; and two sisters: Ruth (Ray) Johnson and Mildred (Hugh) Smail. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 21st at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev.

Ryan Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:30 am until the time of Mass at 12:00 noon at the church on Wednesday.
