Obituary for David Lloyd Walz David Lloyd Walz was born on Dec. 16, 1954 in Erie, PA to Harry and Helen Walz. David graduated from Academy High School in 1973.

He then graduated from Grove City College in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration. He married his wife Cynthia L. Walz (Thomas) on Feb 11, 1978 in their hometown of Erie, PA. David retired from Verizon in 2014 after a 36-year career as a manager in IT.

David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Those who knew him, knew that his res of love, knowledge, care, and friendship were boundless. He was also a car fanatic, with a love of cars and all things related to cars that would make everyone around him smile.

He died at age 63 on August 30, 2018 at home with family by his side in Flower Mound, TX. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Cynthia Lu Walz (Thomas) His son Jonathan David Walz and wife Desiree Walz and grandson Ethan Thomas Walz of Houston, TX and son Matthew Thomas Walz of Lewisville, TX His sisters, Linda Brandt (Bill) of Erie, PA, Dianne Tate of Erie, PA And family members, Mary Lou Thomas of Erie, PA, Charles and Penny Thomas of Erie, PA And 6 nieces & nephews David was preceded in death by his parents- Harry T Walz of Erie, PA Helen L Walz (Davis) of Erie, PA In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to these charities www. spca.org www.
