David McElroy August 27, 1953 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mr. David Wayne McElroy, 65, of Union City passed away 2:20 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, at his home. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. James Episcopal Church. Rev.

Jason Pate will officiate. Visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday. Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hometown Walk of Hope or any cancer organization. David was born August 27, 1953, in Union City, son of the late D.G. and Judy (Pierce) McElroy. He married Debbie (Dyer) McElroy August 6, 1988.

She survives. He was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ. David had been employed for many years at E.W. James and Sons in Union City and Dura in Fulton, Ky.

David is also survived by one daughter, Lacy Farmer of South Fulton; three stepdaughters, Stephanie (Tony) Copeland of Hornbeak, Lauren Mann of Union City and Kayla Dwyer of Union City; one stepson, Kyle Dwyer of Jackson, Tn. ; five grandchildren, Keagan Farmer, Jordan Copeland, Gage Fraley, Tyler Copeland and Peyton Gwaltney; one sister, Jonell Gibson of Union City, and one niece.
