Obituary for David Tincher Frankfort – David Lee Tincher, 77, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, in Frankfort. Born to the late Kash and Sarah Stigers Tincher on January 19, 1941, David lived a life full of love and spent it finding its beauty. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he set an example of love and guidance for his family and his dedication to his work and serving the community never wavered.
David spent his life exploring the wonders of the world through antiquing, never ceasing to find special meaning in things that were ordinary to others. In his free time, he would be found alongside his loving wife at antique shops, auctions, or anywhere he could find something that caught his eye. When he wasn’t searching for treasures or spending time with his family, he was spending time outdoors, fishing or quail hunting.
After many years of serving the Frankfort Community, David retired as Battalion Chief from the Frankfort City Fire Department. He loved his community, and working alongside those who served with him. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Judy Elaine Downey Tincher; beloved son, Kevin Tincher (Sherry Frye); cherished grandchildren, Jacob Tincher and Callie Tincher (Bryan Miracle); and sister, Diane Webb.
David loved his family and supported them with guidance and direction whenever he could. He loved and appreciated his host of wonderful friends he was so very blessed to have. David wished for his life to be celebrated, and for those to share memories, laughs, and most of all love.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flowers are welcome and expressions of sympathy may be made in David’s memory to the Pleasant View Methodist Cemetery.
