Obituary for Helen Carter Helen Morton Carter, 87, widow of William H. Carter, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was born on January 11, 1931 in Franklin County, KY, the daughter of the late Charlie and Mabel Jennels Morton. Helen was a graduate of Simmons High School and worked in the cafeteria for Woodford County Schools for over 25 years.

She was a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband Helen was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Carter, and six siblings, Ella Mary Belle Samuels, Lillian Morton, Agnes Samuels, Charles Morton, Wallace Russell Morton, and Nelson Leo Morton. She is survived by her two daughters, Lillian E. Morton and Virginia Sandifer, both of Versailles, son, Joseph H. (Angela) Carter, of Frankfort, two brothers, Henry (Latisha) Morton, Sr. and Lawrence (Vickie) Morton, Sr., all of Lexington, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and special friends David and Glenda Penn.
