Obituary for James “Jimmy” L. Riddle Frankfort – James “Jimmy” Lawrence Riddle, age 75, passed away at home Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Steven Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Jimmy was born in Frankfort on June 21, 1943, to the late Robert James and Virginia Elizabeth Anglin Riddle.
He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Lynn Donovan Riddle, of Frankfort. He retired from Fruit of the Loom and was also an employee of the Frankfort Plant Board. Jimmy was a true outdoorsman, spending as much time fishing, hunting and farming as he could.
He had a big heart and loved everyone. Above all, he was a wonderful and loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Vaughn and Freddie Riddle.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Riddle (Stacy), Jimmy Riddle, Jr., (Marianne) and Samantha Riddle; siblings, Shirley Waldridge, David Riddle, and Scotty Riddle; grandchildren, Hunter Riddle, Autumn Riddle and Beth Hockensmith, and by one great-granddaughter, Mya Miller. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
