Obituary for James E Luttrell James E. “Jim” Luttrell, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 28, 2018. Services for Mr. Luttrell will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Glenn Redmon and Rev.
Wesley Noss officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Jim was born in Frankfort on October 18, 1955, to Charles William Luttrell, Sr. and Geraleen Chambers Luttrell.
He was united in marriage to Melissa Dawn McMurry Luttrell. He was a former machinist at Osram/Ledvance, and a member of Buck Run Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and UK Basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Faith Dawn and Hope Catherine Luttrell. Jim loved his family and his memory will be cherished by his wife of 25 years, Missy; children, Russell Luttrell, Shannon Luttrell (Chad Riddle), Brandy Petrey (Chad); four grandchildren, Chelsea and Cheyenne Riddle, Brooklyn and Tristan Petrey; three great grandchildren, Braelynn, Carson and Stevie Anderson; and two brothers, William C. Luttrell, Jr. and Joseph Luttrell (Tammy). Serving as pallbearers will be Doug McMurry, Stephen McMurry, Chris Bryant, Jason Sparrow, Chad Sparrow and Charles Luttrell.
Honorary bearers will be Robbie Champion, Gerald Patrick, Robert Taylor, Jr. Lewis, Tim Vance, Roger Barkley, Jr., Billy Warfield, Sam Johnson, Wayne Westwood and Joshua Ruwet. Flowers are welcome or expressions of sympathy are suggested to Bluegrass Hospice Care. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
