Obituary for Dewey L Reeves Funeral services for Dewey L. Reeves, 88, of Frankfort, will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Keith McAliley and Mr. Marty Hammons will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, where VFW Post #4075 will perform military honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Reeves died Monday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
A native of Woodford County he was an Engineer with the Kentucky Department of Highways and a veteran of the Ky Army National Guard. He was a member of Bridgeport Christian Church and the American Legion Post #7. Dewey was an avid UK Wildcat fan.
He was the son of the late Omer Lee and Eva Mae Foster Reeves and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Reeves and brothers Rex and Willis Reeves. Survivors include six children Joyce Schoenberg, Windermere, FL, Sharon E. (John) Stivers, Frankfort, Karen L. Clark, West Union, OH, Kathy E. (James) Fox, Royce City, TX. Michael Reeves, Louisville and Anthony C. (Elizabeth) Reeves, Macungie, PA; brother Jimmy Reeves, Frankfort; 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren Chris Gardner, Marshall White, Michael Clark, Grant Reeves, Sam White and David Clark. Chief Honorary pallbearer will be Mr. John Ritchie. Memorial contributions may be made to L.I.F.E.
