David W. Warren, a lifetime resident of Wallkill, NY, passed away in Poughkeepsie, NY, after a courageous battle with cancer on May, 28, 2018. He was 77. The son of the late William H. Warren and Mildred K. Dymond Warren, he was born on June 3, 1940 in Gardiner, NY.

David was a retired safety engineer for IBM, and he also worked for Cardinal Health, as well as the Town of Shawangunk. He was a life member of The Wallkill Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid fisher, a hobby he loved to share with his grandchildren, who best knew him as Poppy.

€ He was also known as “Mr. Fix It” to many as well, as he was always there for anybody who needed something fixed. The family would like to thank the nurses at St. Lukes and Vassar Hospital for their amazing and compassionate care of David. Survivors include his Wife, Ellen (Freer) Warren at home Son, Keith Warren of Pine Bush, NY Daughter, Lorelei Horn of Wallkill, NY Son-in-law, John Horn of Wallkill, NY 4 grandchildren: Jonathon, Kimberlee and Brandon Horn, and David Hubbard.

Great granddaughter, Kayla Horn Brother, Raymond Warren of Florida And many nieces and nephews Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at Brunswyck Rural Cemetery, in Wallkill, NY. Rev. Howie Dalton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to either the Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corp, P.O. Box 221, Wallkill, NY, 12589 or The Wallkill Rod & Gun Club, P.O. Box 402, Wallkill, NY, 12589, in Davids memory. Donations may be made to: Wallkill Ambulance Corp.
