OBITUARY Debbie Rankin August 23, 1960 – November 30, 2018 Debbie Jane Rankin, 58, passed away on November 30, 2018. She was born on August 23, 1960, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Evelyn Novella Ward Rankin. Debbie loved her baby dolls, talking on the telephone or in person and could be witty at times, earning her the nickname, “Spit Fire”.

She had a genuine heart and smile that will never be forgotten. She is survived by three sisters, Donna Cason and husband, Luke of Staunton, Ann Snead and husband, Joseph of Columbia, VA and Patricia Martin and husband, Jerry of New Market, VA; brother, William F. Rankin, and wife, Darlene of Staunton; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Godparents, James and Linda Back; brother, Kenneth Rankin and niece, Courtney Powell.

Services will be private and held at a later date. For those desiring to visit, they may do so at the residence of her sister, Donna Cason in Staunton. The family would like to thank those that provided care to Debbie at Pleasant View in Harrisonburg, especially Craig and members of New Century Hospice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
