OBITUARY James H. Lowry, Sr. April 28, 1941 – November 11, 2018 James H. Lowry, Sr., 77, of Waynesboro passed away on November 11, 2018 at Augusta Health. Born April 28, 1941 in Highland County, he was the son of the late Herman Lowry and Wilda Lowry. He was a retired diesel mechanic of 38 years and received an honorable discharge from the Army National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his daughter, Sharon Lowry and one brother. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Lowry; two sons, Jimmy (Debbie) Lowry and Bobby (Rosie) Lowry both of Waynesboro; daughter, Becky (Don) Conklin of Fort Defiance; grandchildren, Chad, Little Jimmy, Amber and Courtney Lowry, Brittany Durie, T.J. Charlton, DJ Conklin, Little Ronnie Brown and several great grandchildren. Per his request, there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to 58 Sawmill Run Lane, Waynesboro, VA 22980. Relatives and friends may share condolences and memories with the family online by visiting www.
