OBITUARY Jeannie Massie April 24, 1946 – November 1, 2018 Jeannie Massie, 72, of Staunton passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Augusta Health. Born April 24, 1946 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Woodrow and Anniebell (Loan) Scrogham. Jeannie and her husband, Kenneth, were bread vendors for Flowers Bakery for 27 years.

She enjoyed her family, her cat Butterball and the beach. She loved being a majorette, band and Hokie mom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Massie.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica N. Cook and husband, Jon Cook, II and their son, Jon Cook, III of Chesterfield, Va; son, Jimmie E. Bryant of Staunton; special friends, Edward, Linda, and Kendall Furrow. A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
