Obituary for Debora Renee “Debbie” Baker Calhoun City—Debbie Baker, 53, passed away peacefully at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Born May 8, 1965 in Calhoun City, she was the daughter of Patricia Denton Baker and the late David Billy Baker. Debbie was a 1983 graduate of Calhoun City High School, and was a member of Calhoun City First Baptist Church.
Like most teenagers, she could be found on Friday and Saturday nights riding around the square in Calhoun City. She was blessed with some great friends, two of her best were Lisa Havens Reynolds and Annette Lollar. She loved her outings with them, and cherished the time spent together.
Among her many hobbies were fishing, watching Sci-Fi movies, and going to the beach. She loved crab claws! She lived her life in the presence of God, and gave him honor and praise for carrying her through to the end of her earthly life.
She is at peace now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She made the world a better place and will be deeply missed, but she is now rejoicing in her Heavenly home. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Baker family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Friday, October 26, 2018, at 10:00am at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Thursday evening, October 25, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Dr. Anthony Kay will be officiating.
