OBITUARY Deborah I. Haskins October 12, 1951 – November 23, 2018 Deborah Irene Haskins, 67, passed away November 23, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, with a luncheon following the service. Graveside services will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines after the luncheon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. Deb was born in Des Moines, IA on October 12, 1951 to Thomas Fredregill and Margaret (Cleveland). She graduated in 1969 from Valley High School in West Des Moines, and then in 1974 from Drake University in Des Moines.

She worked as a classroom teacher at St. Pius X School in Des Moines, at various elementary schools in the Des Moines Public Schools, and then as a reading teacher at Fairmeadows Elementary in West Des Moines. On August 1, 1981, she married Fred Haskins. She was a dedicated stay at home mom to Stephanie, Stacey and Marc.

She served as president of the League of Attorney Wives of Polk County and the Des Moines Mothers of Twins Club. In addition to her faith, she found meaning and enjoyment in reading, needlework, puzzles, music, and her friends. She leaves behind many who loved her.

Deb is survived by her husband of 37 years, Fred; three children, Stephanie of Niantic, CT, Stacey of Des Moines, and Marc (Brittney) of Des Moines; brother Kevin Fredregill of Tallahassee, FL; sister Cindy Florer (Steve) of West Des Moines; sister Sarah Wilson (Scott) of Des Moines; sister-in-law Teri Davis of Waukee; brother and sister-in law Bob and Jan Haskins of Urbandale; aunts Priscilla McMullin, Virginia Klemm and Betty Stanger; cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines, 50266 or the John Stoddard Cancer Center (UnityPoint Health), 1221 Pleasant Street in Des Moines 50309.
