Deborah was of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors are her husband, Jose Alfredo “Freddy” Hernandez, Arcadia, FL, one son, Johnny Carter, Arcadia, FL, three daughters, Barbie (Jesus) Contreras, Odessa, TX, Melissa Mejia, Arcadia, FL, Deborah (Walter)Gilchrist, St. Petersburg, FL, three sisters, Joan Brannan, Arcadia, FL, Jean (Allen) Chitwood, Arcadia, FL, and Wanda Martinez, Fort Ogden, FL, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be conducted from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
