Deborah L. Potter, 62 of North East, MD, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the Laurelwood Nursing Center, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, on January 8, 1956, the daughter of the late E. L. and Ora (Winston) Barnett. Debbie worked for Laurelwood Nursing Center as a nursing aid.

She is survived by a daughter: Kandi Sutton (Mark) of Elkton, MD and son: Edward P. Potter of Beckley, WV; her siblings: Lois Snyder of Jacksonville, FL, Joan Davis of Elkton, MD, Patti Strahorn of Mountain City, TN, Alfred Barnett of Forest Hill, MD, Jerry Barnett of Elkton, MD and Mark Barnett of Rising Sun, MD; 2 granddaughters: Kelsey and Audria; and her companion: Luther Moretz, North East, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Ronnie Barnett; and a sister: Crystal Lee Garr. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service.

Interment will follow in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
