Deborah Ellen Carpenter, 64 of Jackson Township, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. Deborah was born on October 17, 1953 in Massillon the daughter of the late Paul and Vivian (Winnings) Schwartz. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1972 graduate of Washington High School.

Deborah worked in the past as an STNA at Altercare of Navarre and had a great love for helping others. She enjoyed gardening and baking. Deborah was an avid Cavs fan.

She raised her grandson Tyler Cain who she deeply adored. She is survived by her children, Tiffany (Richard) Stephan and Tonya Swisher; grandson, Tyler Cain; sisters, Marge Watts and Paula (Joe) Kasunick; and her brother, Patrick (Julie) Schwartz. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday one hour before the service. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.
